Transferring stock into Craft Pod is straightforward. You’ll initiate an in-kind transfer from your brokerage account to the Pod’s custodian account (we’ll provide you the account details and instructions). This can usually be done via an ACATS transfer or DTC wire of shares.
Here’s the process: once you’re ready to contribute, Craft will give you the receiving brokerage information (account number, DTC code, etc.). You then contact your current brokerage (or use their online transfer service) to transfer the specified shares to that account. It’s similar to moving your stocks to another broker, except the destination is the Craft Pod’s account. We coordinate closely during this step – our team will confirm once the shares arrive.
