Do my shares need to be marketable?

Updated yesterday

Yes! Any stock you contribute generally needs to be marketable (not subject to lock-ups or major resale restrictions). We need shares to be public and liquid so the Pod can manage or rebalance the portfolio easily.

If you hold restricted stock (for example, recently IPO’d shares under lock-up or control securities with Rule 144 limits), we’ll probably ask you to wait until those restrictions expire. The idea is to keep the Pod flexible — if we need to sell or use the shares to buy something like an aircraft, we can.

Not sure about your stock’s status? Just ask — we can look at it with you and figure out when or how it could be contributed.
