No, unused flight hours do not carry over to the next year. Each year, as a Craft Pod investor, you’re allocated a certain number of private jet flight hours (your annual allotment) based on your investment. If you don’t use all of those hours within the year, they expire at the end of that year and a fresh allotment is provided for the next year. In other words, it’s “use it or lose it” on an annual basis.
We structure it this way to ensure fairness and availability. The aircraft capacity is shared among all Pod members each year, and we want to encourage everyone to take advantage of their flight benefits regularly. If hours rolled over indefinitely, someone could theoretically bank hours and then restrict availability of the fleet. By resetting annually, we maintain a balance and make planning more predictable for all participants.
That said, we do understand that travel needs can vary. We encourage you to plan your travel to fully utilize your included hours each year. Our team will remind you of your remaining hours as the year progresses. And if you ever find you’re unable to use your hours, you might consider gifting a trip to family/ friends or using the hours for business travel – just so you get the full value of them. Remember, your allotment refreshes every year, so there’s always a new set of hours coming. (If you do run out of hours and still want to fly more, you can always purchase additional hours – see Can I purchase additional hours beyond my yearly allotment? for details on that option.)
